Storm Doors

Our storm doors are made in Toronto by York Aluminum. They feature standard reinforced corners, four heavy-duty hinges, 3mm tempered glass, and baked-on enamel colours available in white, ivory, sandalwood, clay, brown, and black.

Our Rigid metal and plastic spacers cannot compensate for natural expansion and contraction, and can result in seal failure. New thermal windows can lose up to 50% of its stated R-Value with a metal-based spacer. The Super Spacer is a unique foam formula that separates the panes of glass.

It conducts less heat and cold than conventional metal spacers and thus provides greater insulation value for your home. The movement of heat through a solid material is known as conduction.

The Super Spacer all-foam formula reduces conduction by blocking heat escape paths. The Super Spacer also reduces outside noise, with up to 18% sound absorption over metal spacers. The Super Spacer is sealed with a high-performance acrylic moisture vapour seal. The Super Spacer features 100% memory foam that enables it to stand up to a wide range of temperatures.

North Star patio doors are designed to keep the heat outside in summer; and the heat inside in the winter. They are available in coloured vinyl and with two kinds of Oak veneer.

Steel Doors

Our steel doors are manufactured in Toronto by Oran Industries. The door slab is made of 24 gauge hot-dipped galvanized steel that surrounds a solid Polyurethane foam core with a continuous wood thermal break around perimeter. The slab comes standard as factory white. Each door slab is hung in a standard 1 1/4 '' finger-joint pine frame with 5 3/4 fixed aluminum sill. A security bar is mounted into the interior jamb and positioned behind the deadbolt handle using four 4'' screws which helps prevent the jamb from splitting during forced entry. A 12'' wood lock block comes standard which allows for a full range of grip sets and dead bolts.

Patio Doors

Our North Star patio doors come standard with reinforced welded sashes, double strength (5mm) tempered Low-E glass, Argon gas, the Super Spacer, a multi-point lock, and Ultrafab weather stripping.
